announces a competition for the position of:

AREA LEADER IN RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FUTURES

in Centre for Foresight and Internationalisation

Centre for Foresight and Internationalisation is a new, R&D Centre of Łukasiewicz-ORGMASZ, that received the Economic Award of the Polish Radio in 2022. The team aims to increase Polish involvement within European Science and bolden the European research ecosystem participation. Using cross-cutting expertise and the experience of national and international experts, CFI offers crucial assistance and knowledge. Via four main areas of interest (Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer / International Cooperation and Partnerships / Knowledge Co-creation / Responsible Research and Innovation) the team builds the key competencies and aims to further improve competitiveness of Polish research. Creating sustainable responses to grand challenges, by usage of foresight techniques is a vision that is extremely close to CFIs core values.

Type of contract: Employment contract

 

Tasks and duties:

  • preparation of reports and scientific publications in the field of Responsible Research in Innovation in the sector of science and technology,
  • coordination of research activities in the field of RRI,
  • promoting responsible research and innovation in the reference to the regulation for Horizon Europe (HE) within ŁRN institutes and beyond,
  • integration of RRI perspectives in programmes or projects,
  • identifying networks and institutions that ŁRN should be partnering and collaborating in the area of RRI,
  • co-designing and co-creating responsible research and innovation agendas and contents in the context of high quality RRI engagement in Horizon Europe,
  • support in scanning and mapping EU Horizon calls of relevance for Łukasiewicz Network in the context of implementation of RRI perspective,
  • knowledge exchange with national technology transfer centers for educational purposes,
  • talent acquisition and management,
  • preparing scientific content for the CFI,
  • supporting ŁRN Institutes in the process of applying for European and international proposals, together with foreign and domestic Research Centers and Universities.

Key skills and experience:

  • PhD degree and 5 years' experience in the research and development sector, including independently leading research projects,
  • knowledge of Responsible Research and Innovation, particularly RRI principles in HE,
  • experience in management and development of RRI-related research projects,
  • interest in socio-economic and technological change and transformation, foresight of socio-technical developments, and dynamics of innovations and innovation systems,
  • interest, experience and understanding of R&I policy at the EU, national and regional level,
  • affinity to technological research and innovation,
  • interest and skills in project/programme/policy/strategy evaluation and impact assessment,
  • interest and experience in funding and financing instruments of innovation,
  • experience and understanding of EU, Polish and regional R&I policies and programmes,
  • multidimensional and multidisciplinary orientation, including socio-economic and political issues,
  • skills to facilitate workshops in international and national contexts,
  • interest in working in a multinational research team in an international work environment,
  • skills of speaking, communicating, and writing in English.
