announces a competition for the position of:

Area Leader - Head of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Department, Deputy Director of CFI

 

Referention number: AL/CFI/03/2022

The person employed in this position will be responsible for:

  • supporting CFI Director in the preparation of an action strategies and business plans related to the activities of CFI;
  • preparing scientific content for the CFI (prioritization, support, leading discussions, application of foresight tools, concepts and methods);
  • preparing concepts for data integration and semi-automated recommending systems for the Łukasiewicz Research Network;
  • initiating national and international cooperation in the field of innovation and scientific mobility, with respect to the Łukasiewicz Research Network. Mobilizing Łukasiewicz research institutes and external partners;
  • scanning and mapping EU Horizon calls of relevance for Łukasiewicz Network. Call decomposition, defining key features, mapping destinations and outcomes. Preparation of canvas;
  • supporting ŁRN Institutes in the process of applying for European and international proposals, together with foreign and domestic Research Centers and Universities. Supervising the acquisition of R&D projects (obtaining funding);
  • identifying Łukasiewicz Research Network products/services with potential for commercialisation;
  • identifying the potential of the Łukasiewicz Research Network institutes in terms of internationalization of scientific achievements;
  • developing, jointly with Łukasiewicz Research Groups, an effective model for the use of technological foresight methods. Developing the framework for the Łukasiewicz Programs in the foresight methodology;
  • supporting the creation of networks of experts / consultants / associates working towards increasing the revenues of the Łukasiewicz Network institutes from external sources and increasing the effectiveness of the Łukasiewicz Research Network in acquiring EU projects from Europe;
  • supporting recruitment of key research workers to CFI Łukasiewicz ORGMASZ.

Expectations:

  • PhD in a field relevant to the ŁRN core areas of interest. Proven publication track record; h-index >10;
  • 15+ years experience in working with a variety of national, european and international R&D programmes;
  • experience in data science and machine learning tools and methodologies relevant to information retrieval and information extraction;
  • experience in building national, european and international partnerships;
  • knowledge of R&I policies and strategies at national, european and international levels;
  • experience in commercialisation of research and market related analyses.
  • Knowledge of English; level C2;
  • very good organization of own work, highly developed communication skills and ability to work in a team;
  • ability to perform multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
